This is one of the oldest settlements in the Suzdal region, it was founded in the XIII-XIV centuries. In the XIV century, Kozmodamiansky was listed as the estate of the princes of Moscow according to documents. Dimitry Toannovich with a Don’s letter of 1389 bequeathed the village to the son of Yuri Dimitrievich , the specific prince of Zvenigorod, in 1433 and 1434 the Grand Duke of Moscow. In 1803, instead of a wooden church, a stone church with a stone bell tower was built instead of a wooden church. The main church was consecrated in the name of the Serebrierezerebrennikov Kozma and Damian, warm near - in the name of St. Nicholas of Myra. Since 1893, a parish school existed in the village [2] .
