Schwenheim ( fr. Schwenheim ) is a commune in the northeast of France in the Grand Est region [1] (former Alsace - Champagne - Ardennes - Lorraine ), department of the Lower Rhine , Saverne district , canton of Saverne [2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Marmoutier (Saverne district).

Economics
In 2010, out of 429 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years old), 344 were economically active , 85 were inactive (80.2% activity indicator, 72.8% in 1999). Of the 344 active able-bodied residents, 325 people worked (175 men and 150 women), 19 were unemployed (11 men and 8 women). Among 85 able-bodied inactive citizens, 29 were pupils or students , 41 were pensioners , and another 15 were inactive for other reasons [9] [10] .
