Short-toed stone sparrow [1] ( lat. Carpospiza brachydactyla ) - a species of birds of the passerine family. It is included in the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature as causing the least concern [2] .

The bird has a dull color and small size [3] .

The species is characterized by nesting in rocks, in closed cavities between stone walls, but atypical cup-shaped nests are also found in tree forks [3] .

When moving does not use jumping, eats on the ground [3] .
