Geography
Located 48 km south-west of the district center, the village of Kutulik , on the eastern and southern shores of Lake Alat , at an altitude of 495 meters above sea level.
History
Researcher Jean Zimin argued that the village was founded by the Hongodors , the late settlers from Mongolia. In 1854, the Alatsky ulus was mentioned, where there were 10 revision souls [2] .

Several Vepsians live in the village - representatives of the indigenous Finno-Ugric people who came here during the Stolypin reform .
Infrastructure
In 2008, a milk collection center was opened in the village of Alat.
A school, 3 FAPs are functioning in the village, it is planned to build a new kindergarten [5] .
