History
Soviet period
Reliable information about educational institutions that were the forerunners of the Samarkand Higher Military Automobile School is not available.
From the information regarding possible predecessors of the IHECS, it is known that in November 1941 the 2nd Kharkov Armored School, formed on August 12, 1941, was redeployed to Samarkand from Kharkov, Ukrainian SSR . In 1946, this school was renamed the Samarkand Tank Technical School [2] .
September 23, 1969, by a resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR in the city of Samarkand of the Uzbek SSR , the Samarkand Higher Tank Command School was formed, the task of which was to prepare tank platoon commanders. There is no information on the basis of which educational institution (military unit) the tank school was formed.
By order of the Minister of Defense of the USSR No. 190 of May 23, 1973, the Samarkand Higher Tank Command School was transformed into the Samarkand Higher Military Automobile Command School. The task of the school was to prepare commanders of automobile platoons.
In 1979, the school was given the honorary name “named after the Supreme Council of the Uzbek SSR” [3] [4] .
School in Independent Uzbekistan
In 1992, the Samarkand Higher Military Automobile Command School (SVVAKIU) passed under the jurisdiction of Uzbekistan. Together with him, the Tashkent Higher Combined Arms Command School and the Tashkent Higher Tank Command School departed for Uzbekistan.
In connection with the policy of the authorities of the republic aimed at the full training of officers for the armed forces on their own, on the basis of the existing military educational institutions inherited from the USSR, a multidisciplinary training scheme was implemented. On the basis of the automobile school, which in 1993 changed its name to the Samarkand Higher Military Automobile Command and Engineering School , faculties were set up for the training of other military accounting specialties except as the “platoon commander” [5] [6] .

- 1999 - Department of missile and artillery weapons with the creation of a small artillery range;
- 2004 - Department of Engineering Troops and RKhBZ troops , and the Logistics Support Department, which included the Department of Food and Clothing Support, the Department of Supply of Fuel and lubricants .
From 1997 to the present moment, at the faculties of the Samarkand Higher Military Automobile Command and Engineering School, training has been carried out in the following 5 military accounting specialties [7] :
- command and tactical specialties
- platoon commander;
- engineer platoon commander;
