Career
Luigi Fornara, along with his brother Mario, played for the football club Lugano , with whom he won the national championship in 1941 [1] . In 1943, he and the team reached the final of the country's cup , in which they lost to Grasshopper with a score of 2: 1 [2] .
As part of the Swiss national team, Luigi held two official matches, debuting on December 28, 1941 in a friendly match against Spain [3] . The meeting ended with the score 3: 2 in favor of the Spaniards. The last time he played for the national team on January 1, 1942 was against the Portuguese national team [3] .
