Rakhimzhan Omarovich Shayakhmetov ( November 7, 1916 , aul Saryterek, Semipalatinsk region , Russian Empire - January 31, 1998 ) - a Soviet party and state leader, chairman of the Tselinograd Regional Executive Committee (1965-1971).

Biography
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1940. In 1939 he graduated from the Veterinary Institute in Almaty . He worked as a zoo technician in a number of state farms in Pavlodar , the director of an inter-collective farm school, and later a deputy director of a state farm trust.
From 1942 - deputy head, then head of the regional committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Kazakhstan in Pavlodar.
- 1947-1948 - Deputy Head of the Department of Livestock and Deputy Secretary of the Kyzyl-Orda Regional Committee of the KP (b) Kazakhstan,
- 1948 - Deputy Head of the Agricultural Department of the Kyzyl-Orda Regional Committee of the KP (b) of Kazakhstan,
- 1948-1951 - Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Kyzyl-Orda Regional Council,
- 1951-1955 - Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Akmola Regional Council,
- 1955-1960 - Secretary of the Akmola Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan,
- 1960-1962 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the East Kazakhstan Regional Council,
- 1962-1963 - Second Secretary of the West Kazakhstan Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan,
- 1963-1964 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the West Kazakhstan Regional Council,
- 1964-1965 - Second Secretary of the Aktobe Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan,
- 1965-1971 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Tselinograd Regional Council
- 1971-1976 - Deputy Minister of meat and dairy industry of the Kazakh SSR.
Since 1976, retired.
