Tender Loving Care (from the English - “Deadly Tenderness”) is an interactive cinema created and published in 1998 by the Aftermath Media film company [1] . It is a psychological thriller . Starring: Michael Esposito, Beth Tegarden and John Hurt as Dr. Turner [2] . The screenwriter and director was David Wheeler, and the producer was Rob Landeros , who was also the developer of the game part [3] . Story
Michael Overton (Michael Esposito) and his wife Allison (Marie Keldar) are husband and wife who suffered a mental disorder after the death of their daughter in a car accident. Allison suffered significantly more than Michael, as she does not even acknowledge the death of her daughter. She lives in an apathetic state and cannot perform any mental and labor tasks. Dr. Cecil Turner ( John Hurt ) recommended that Michael hire a caregiver to help with the housework and treat Allison. Michael eventually made up his mind and hired a nurse proposed by Dr. Turner, Catherine Randolph (Beth Tegarden). At the very beginning of the film, she arrives in the morning in the Overtones house, after which she begins to treat the family in very unusual ways, after which Allison felt much better, but Michael was seriously disappointed in the methods of treatment for Catherine. What the plot features and the ending will be will depend on the choice of the viewer's answers in the polls and tests given during viewing.
Interactivity
The film is divided into several episodes, between which the viewer can influence the development of the plot in various ways [9] . After watching the episode, the audience is asked a few questions from Dr. Turner about their perception of what they saw, as well as about the audience themselves. Then the audience is given the opportunity to walk around the Overtones house (sometimes also the Turner Clinic), in which they can receive additional information about the plot and, in particular, about the characters. Before continuing to watch the film, viewers had to take part in a thematic apperceptive test (TAT) to study the psyche of the viewer. The film contains changing scenes and seven different endings, shown depending on the responses of the viewer [10] .
