Jamile Sarah Samuel ( Dutch: Jamile Sara Samuel ; born April 24, 1992 , Amsterdam , The Netherlands ) is a Dutch athlete specializing in short-distance running. European champion 2016 in the relay 4 × 100 meters. Multiple winner of the world and European championships among juniors. Four-time champion of the Netherlands. Participant in the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics .

Biography
The sprinting talent of Yamile Samuel revealed quite early. In 2007, she became the silver medalist of the national championship in the 200-meter race: at that moment she was only 15 years old, the winner was 12 years older than her [1] . She won her first national title in 2009, at 16, when she became the best at a distance of 60 meters.
Repeatedly became the winner of international competitions among juniors. At the European Championships for athletes under 20, she won the bronze in the relay in 2009 , she became a two-time silver medalist at distances of 100 and 200 meters two years later . At the 2010 World Junior Championships, she won three bronze medals: in the 100, 200 meters and 4 × 100 meters relay races.
At the adult level, the first prize was won at the 2012 European Championship , where she became the second in the relay with a national record of 42.80. Participated in the Olympic Games in London . As part of the Netherlands national team, she ran in the relay final, where she took sixth place.
At the 2014 European Championships she finished sixth at a distance of 200 meters.
In 2015, at the World Championships, after being disqualified in the preliminary 100m race, she and her team once again renewed the national relay record (42.32), thanks to which the Dutch girls with the fourth result qualified for the final. In the decisive race, they were among the leaders until the final transfer of the baton, where Samuel was mistaken when she ran out of the allotted corridor. By decision of the judges, the Dutch national team was disqualified [2] .
She stayed one step from reaching the final of the 2016 World Indoor Championships , taking 9th place following the results of semi-final races of 60 meters.
She took fourth place at a distance of 200 meters at the European Championships in Amsterdam , and in the relay race she became the champion of the Old World.
She performed at the 2016 Olympics . In her personal form, she did not go to the semifinals of the 200 meters race, and in the relay 4 × 100 meters with the 10th result in preliminary races she remained outside the final.
