Biography
I started to practice biathlon at the age of 12, before that I almost never got up on skis. First coach - Alexander Anatolievich Russkikh. In 1987 he moved to Izhevsk and trained under the guidance of Mikhail Vladimirovich Tkachenko. In 1989 he successfully performed at the USSR Championship among juniors.
At the World Junior Championships in 1990 in Sodankyla won medals in all types of programs - bronze in the sprint and individual race, silver in the relay and gold - in the team race.
In February 1992, he won the CIS championship in the relay along with other Izhevsk biathletes - Alexander Beznosov, Alexei Kobelev and Valery Medvedtsev .
As a member of the Russian national team, he participated in the World Cup of the season 1993/94, made his debut on December 9, 1993 in the individual race at the stage in Badgastein , and in the same race showed his best result - eighth place.
Later he performed at Russian competitions. Finished his career in 1998.
Personal life
He lives in Izhevsk, works in the Office of the Federal Drug Control Service for Udmurtia [1] . In 2014, he took part in the Olympic torch relay in Izhevsk [2] .
Married, wife - Tatiana, two sons. The eldest son, Egor (born 1997) is also engaged in biathlon.
