Walter Schneiter ( German: Walter Schneiter ; June 18, 1918 - December 18, 1975 ) is a Swiss footballer who played as a striker . He played for the teams Zurich , Cantonal Neuchatel and Baden .

Career
Walter Schneider began his football career at the Zurich club. In the 1943/44 season, he defended the colors of the Cantonal Neuchatel team, and in 1943 he returned to Zurich. In the 1949/50 season, Walter scored 10 goals in the championship [1] , and the next season he scored 11 goals [2] . Later he played for the Baden club.
As part of the Swiss national team, Walter made his debut on October 2, 1949 in a friendly match against Belgium [3] . In June 1950, he went with the national team to the World Cup in Brazil. At the tournament, Schneider was a reserve player, so he did not play a single match - his team took only third place and could not reach the final part of the championship. During the year of performances in the national team, he played 3 matches [3] .
