Viktor Stepanovich Zavada (September 20 [1] or 6 [2] or 7 [3] September 1912, Skobelev , Turkestan Territory - November 12, 1967, Leningrad ) - Soviet football player , midfielder . Honored Coach of the USSR (1966, basketball ).

He graduated from the GOLIFK named after P.F. Lesgaft (1932-1936), a teacher, a specialist of higher qualification. He played for the GOLIFK team in football, hockey , volleyball , and basketball (1938-1940) competitions . In 1938, he spent three matches in the USSR football championship as part of Stalinets . During the Great Patriotic War he was in the partisan detachment of the Lesgaft people in the Pskov region. He was awarded the medals “ For the Defense of Leningrad ” and “ For Labor Distinction ”. After the war, he served in the Minsk House of Officers, was the head of the football team.
In February 1946 he moved to Leningrad, worked at GOLIFK as a teacher. Coached the Leningrad national basketball team (1960s).
Tragically died in 1967. He was buried in the cemetery in memory of the victims of January 9th .
