Creativity
Korganov owns a number of piano pieces (fantasy "Bayati", "Arabesque", "Miniatures", "Watercolors" and others) and romances ("Don Juan Serenade", "Acute Ax" - to the words of A.T. Tolstoy , " What is the silence of the nights? ”To the words of A. N. Maikov , and others), some of them enjoyed certain popularity during the author’s life (in particular, Arthur Hartman published violin transcriptions in the USA). The style of Korganov is connected both with the influence of N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov and with the use of local Transcaucasian melodies: according to Armenian musicologist S. Apoyan, “works of Korganov connected with Armenian themes are of great value for the formation of Armenian piano music” [3] .
