New Rychan is a large Kazakh village in the Volodarsky district of the Astrakhan region , the administrative center of the Farm Village Council . In the village there is a shop, a comprehensive school, a post office .

Geography
The village is located 14 kilometers southwest of the Volodarsky district center on the White Ilmen River in the Volga Delta. The distance to the center of Astrakhan in a straight line is about 26 kilometers.

More than 98% of the population of New Rychan are Kazakhs [4] , also several Karagash families live in the village. As in many Kazakh villages in the region, the main language of everyday communication is Russian , although many residents still speak the Kazakh language .
Transport
At 5 kilometers from the village runs the highway connecting Astrakhan and Volodarsky , on which daily buses run at short intervals until six in the evening. In recent years, regular transport has not entered the village itself.
