Biography
Born on September 3, 1929 in the village of Privolnoe, Nikolayevsky District of the Ukrainian SSR (now - Bashtansky District, Nikolayev Region of Ukraine) in a peasant family. Russian [1] .
In 1935, together with his family, he moved to the Adygei Autonomous Region of the Azov-Black Sea (since 1937 - Krasnodar) Territory (now - the Republic of Adygea ). He graduated in 1943, 5 classes of school, went to work as a laborer. In 1944 he entered the courses of tractor. From 1945 he worked as a tractor driver of a machine-tractor station in the Giaginsky region . In 1949 he was called up for military service in the Soviet army [1] . He served in the tank forces of the Carpathian Military District .
In 1955, at the call of the Komsomol, he went to the Kustanai region of the Kazakh SSR (now Kostanay region of Kazakhstan) to raise virgin lands, where he remained for more than twenty years. He worked as a tractor-combine at the state farm named after Dimitrov of Kustanai district . He showed high achievements in labor, for which he was repeatedly awarded orders and medals [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated June 23, 1966, Ballo Nikolay Egorovich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Sickle and Hammer gold medal. From the memoirs of the First Secretary of the Kustanai District Committee of the CPC, Hero of Socialist Labor V. V. Sidorova, “Virgin land was raising people”:
A tractor driver from the Krasnodar Territory to the uninhabited steppes of the Kustanay region came at the call of the party Nikolai Egorovich Ballo. In the state farm named after G. Dimitrov, he showed samples of selfless labor, organization and discipline. Motherland highly appreciated his achievements, conferring the title of Hero of Socialist Labor. Nikolai Egorovich still works in this farm, raising a decent shift from among the youth.
During his time in the Kustanai region, he was repeatedly elected to the village, district and regional councils of workers' deputies [1] .
In January 1978, he moved with his family to a permanent place of residence in the city of Budennovsk, Stavropol Territory, where he joined the construction mechanization department of Promstroi-2 of the Ministry of Industrial Construction of the USSR. The team in which he worked, carried out large amounts of construction work on housing and social services in the city [1] .
Coming out on a well-deserved rest, he took an active part in the life of Budennovsk.
He died on July 3, 2014. Buried in Budennovsk [1] .
Family
Wife - Polina Nesterovna gave birth and brought up three children.
Awards and titles
- He was awarded the Order of Lenin (06/23/1966), the Red Banner of Labor (12/13/1972), "Badge of Honor" (12/24/1976), medals, including "For Labor Valor" (01.01.1957), "For the Development of Virgin Lands" [1] .
