In January 1989, the village was destroyed by an earthquake with an amplitude of 5-6 points that occurred in the Hissar region and claimed hundreds of human lives. According to newspapers, the earthquake covered an area of ββmore than 2100 square kilometers. At the epicenter, the thrust reached seven points, causing giant landslides. One of them, about two kilometers wide, fell off the hill, covering the southern part of the Sharor kishlak, and at the same time the other, in the form of liquid clay lava, came down from the opposite slope and reached the villages of Okuli-Bolo and Okuli-Poen. According to preliminary estimates by experts, the volume of landslides reached a billion cubic meters. Conducting rescue operations was complicated by the abundant discharge of groundwater to the surface of the earth [1] .
