“Shape of My Heart” is a song by British musician Sting from the 1993 album Ten Summoner's Tales . The original edition on CD presents the tenth track [1] [2] . In addition to recording in the album, it was also released on the single in the formats 7 ″ and CD [3] [4] , in addition, this song was included in the 1993 mini-album Demolition Man [5] and in the 2010 live album Live in Berlin [6 ] . The song was first performed in the film “Three Hearts” (1993) directed by Yurek Bogaevich. French director Luc Besson used Shape of My Heart in his film Leon .

The songwriters are Sting and . Miller played it on a Spanish acoustic guitar . To play the part on the harmonica , an American jazzman Larry Adler was invited [7] .
In the English chart, the highest position of the single was 57th place [8] .

General information
Lyrics By Sting outlines the story behind the song. According to Sting, guitarist Dominic Miller showed him a "beautiful guitar riff." Impressed by the melody he heard, Sting went for a walk along the river and through the forest, hoping to come up with an idea for poetry. When he returned from a walk to the studio, both the text and the structure of the new song were almost completely composed by him. So there was a song called “Shape of My Heart” about “a card player who doesn’t play for the sake of winning, needs neither fame nor money, who is passionate about unraveling the laws of luck, trying to find logic in a card game” [9] .
Like all the other songs on the album, “Shape of My Heart” was recorded at Lake House Studios in Wiltshire , mixed at The Townhouse Studio, London , and mixed at Masterdisk Studios in New York . In the studio, the harmonica part was recorded by Larry Adler; in the musical film Ten Summoner's Tales, instead of Adler, played the harmonica.
