The variety is used in breeding programs as a source of large-fruited, late ripening and high taste qualities of fruits [3] . Selection-significant traits are not expressed to the maximum extent (or are in recession), but are well manifested in a number of hybrid genotypes [4] .

Origin

Old Czech variety. Obtained in the 19th century by J. Prochazka from the germinated stone of the 'Green Rope of the Big Green' . By its qualities it is close, but not better than the mother variety [1] .

Zoning

In the XX century, the variety was widely used in the southern regions of the USSR . Entered in the State Register since 1947 in the North Caucasus and Lower Volga regions [1] [5] .

Biological description

 
'Renklod Altana', shoots with unripe fruits

The tree is vigorous, the crown is round-oval, medium density. Fruits mainly on growing branches up to 5-6 years of age. The stem is straight, dark gray, medium-cracked, the average lenticule, the lenticular large. The shoot is straight, the internodes are average 2.1-2.5 cm, the color of the bark is brown-violet of medium intensity. No pubescence. The kidney is vegetative ovoid with a rounded tip, medium in size, pressed.

The leaves are oval-shaped, the tip is blunt-pointed, the base is arcuate. Medium length - 7.4 cm, medium width - 4.5 cm, leaf blade of medium size - 33.3 cm, color green, medium-concave, loose consistency, medium thickness, glossy, without hairs, hairs below the leaf, hairy, distributed across the surface. The serrated edge of the sheet is bicuspid, of medium size. The scape is long - 21 mm. Glands - two, raised, large, yellow. Stipules of lanceolate form, medium length - up to 10 mm, pale green.

From one generative bud one flower develops, saucer-shaped, of medium size - 25 mm in diameter. Petals are rounded, large, length 12 mm, width 13 mm, white, weakly closed. The tip is rounded, wavy edge, slightly corrugated. Small stamens - 22 pcs. Filaments 6-10 mm straight. Color anther light yellow. Pestle 7–8 mm long, column length 6–7 mm, straight. The stigma is rounded, located above the stamens. Ovary undulate. Calyx wide-bell-shaped, without hair. Sepals oval, length 3 mm, width 2.5 mm, pubescence weak. There is no serration. Pedicle length 13 mm, medium, without pubescence.

The fruit is rounded, equilateral, large - height, width and thickness of 37 mm, weight 38 g. The main color is light green, the cover color is pink-red, covering the entire fruit, no pubescence. Subcutaneous points average number, brown color. Strokes are missing. Wax coating thick. The top of the fruit is round, slightly depressed, the base is round, the funnel is of medium depth. The abdominal seam is poorly defined, does not crack. The skin is thin, dense, easily removed, the texture is loose. The color of the flesh is yellow, it darkens slightly in the air. The color of the cavity is one-color with pulp. The consistency of the pulp is fine-fiber, dense, juicy. The stem is of medium length - 14 mm, of average thickness - 1.8 mm. Stone rounded, 18 mm long, 16 mm wide, 10 mm thick, medium size, weighing 1.4 g, 3.9% of the pulp, light brown in color. The apex is wide-round, the base is narrow-round, the dorsal suture is moderately open. Abdominal suture medium. The central edge is expressed moderately. The lateral edges are slightly visible. The keel is small, sharp. The surface is small-pitted-tuberculate. Stone is well separated from the pulp.

Fruits are good for fresh consumption and for the production of compotes, dried fruits, juices and pickles. Assessment of canned food: frozen fruits - 4.2 points, dried plum - 4.1 points, compote - 4.3 points, juice with pulp - 4 points, pickled fruit - 4.4 points. Fruits contain, on wet weight: dry substances - 16.2%, sugars - 10.6%, acids - 0.67%, sugar-acid index 15.82, pectin substances - 0.68%, soluble polyphenols - 334 mg / 100g , ascorbic acid - 4.8 mg / 100 g

The average period of flowering is in mid-April [1] [5] .

In culture

As a seed stock for the 'Renklod Altana' can be used Plum home 'Raisin Eric' [6] .

The variety is self-infertile. The average ripening period is in the middle of August. The term of entry of the tree into fruiting is 4-5 years Winter hardiness is average or above average. Drought resistance is average. The variety is resistant to polysigmosis , cloisters , sharq , but not resistant to moniliasis . Productivity is high, but not regular enough. During ripening with prolonged rainy weather, the fruits burst. Sometimes so much of the harvest is spoiled. Regular thinning pruning recommended [1] [5] .
