Geography
The village is located on the banks of the Kolp River ( Oka basin), 15 km south of the settlement center of Novy Byt village and 8 km west of the district center of the working settlement Krasnaya Gorbatka .
History
The temple in the village Tuchkovo existed in the XVII century, being the center of a vast parish. Until 1874 the church in this village was wooden. A new stone church in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in Tuchkovo, preserved to this day, was built on his personal funds by a local native Platon Gerasimov. Works were carried out until 1881. At the same time Gerasimov organized a school for peasant children at the church, for which he erected a separate building [2] .
At the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, the village was the center of the Tuchkov volost of Sudogodsky district .
From 1929 until 2005, the village was part of the Kopninsky Village Council of the Selivanovsky District .

Attractions
The village is the current Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God (1874), a compound of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra of the stavropegic monastery [2] .
