The Currywurst Museum ( German: Deutsches Currywurst Museum ) is a gastronomic museum in Berlin dedicated to the currywurst sausages and everything connected with them. Opened on August 15, 2009 in honor of the 60th anniversary of the origin of this dish.

Content
Exposition
The museum space is divided into several interactive zones:
- Takeaway Culture : The global distribution of currywurst is reflected on a world map. In addition, each visitor can feel like a street seller of sausages.
- Ingredients and spices : various spices are presented in special containers. Visitors are told of their origin and application. On a special simulator, anyone can mix spices and cook a currywurst sausage according to their unique recipe.
- History and Legend : An exhibition dedicated to Herta Heuwer , owner of a small diner in Berlin in 1949, considered to be the inventor of the currywurst.
- Ecology of fast food : in this part of the exposition, changes that have occurred in the culinary preferences of people over the past 5000 years are traced.
- Carrivurst in culture : thematic literature is presented in the hall, scenes from famous films and series are shown in which this legendary German sausage appeared.
The museum has a gift shop and cafe where you can try sausages with a variety of sauces.

In 2011, the museum was awarded several awards in the field of design:
- One Show Design Award : Silver Pencil [1]
- Art Directors Club : Prize in the category “Communication in Space” and “Space Design” [2]
- DDC-Preis : Silver Prize in the Good Design Category [3]
- iF Industrie Forum Design : Interactive Design Award [4]
