Biography

Born in a Russian family [2] , from the age of 10 he was hired [3] .

In 1919, as part of a volost revolutionary committee detachment, he fought on the Estonian front against White-Estonians [4] . He was an instructor at the Ostrovsky district committee of the RKSM [1] .

In 1925 he joined the RCP (b) [4] [1] [5] . He was the first secretary of the Bateck District Committee of the CPSU (b) (Leningrad Region) [3] [1] , the second secretary of the Kingisepp District Committee of the CPSU (b), then - the head of the Leningrad Regional Land Department [1] . He studied at the Communist University [1] .

Since 1940 - authorized by the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks and the Council of People's Commissars in the Estonian SSR [1] .

Since August 15, 1941 - in the battles of World War II [4] . In 1941, he was slightly injured near Kose in Estonia [5] . As a specially authorized defense headquarters, he participated in the defense of Tallinn [4] . He fought as deputy chief of the political department of the rear, then - military commissar, head of the political department of the Engineering Department of the Baltic Fleet with the rank of regimental commissar, captain of the 2nd rank [4] [5] , was involved in organizing the delivery of ammunition, fuel, foodstuffs for the Leningrad Front through Lake Ladoga and the Baltic Fleet [4] .

Demobilized in 1944, appointed first deputy chairman of the Leningrad Executive Committee. He graduated from the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks [3] [1] . From January to September 1949 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Novgorod Regional Council [3] [1] .

He was elected as a deputy (from the Leningrad Region) of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR of the 1st (1938-1947) [6] and 2nd (since 1947) [7] convocations.

September 22, 1949 was arrested. On October 28, 1950, on a charge of participation in a counter-revolutionary group operating in Leningrad , the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR was sentenced to capital punishment , shot the next day [2] . He was buried at the Don cemetery [2] (grave 3) [8] .

May 14, 1954 rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR [2] .

Family

Wife - Anna Petrovna (? - 1969; buried at the Kazan cemetery in Pushkin). After the war, she worked at the prosthetics institute. In 1950 she was arrested and convicted as "the wife of an enemy of the people", was in Karlag . Released in 1954 [3] .

Sons:

  • Vladimir (February 10, 1925, Pskov - March 5, 1988; buried at the Kazan cemetery in Pushkin). In 1942, he was evacuated with his mother from Leningrad to Perm, where he graduated from the Perm Military School of Aviation Specialists. He fought in the naval aviation of the Northern Fleet, was awardedmedals . In 1950 he graduated from VVMU. M.V. Frunze . On November 11, 1950, he was convicted by the Special Conference as “the son of an enemy of the people,” and was in Vorkutlag ; released in May 1954 on the revision of the case by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR of April 14, 1954.   • Leo (≈1932 -?). From July 1941 until the end of the war he was evacuated to Siberia. In 1950, as “the son of an enemy of the people,” he was sentenced to 7 years in camps with confiscation of property; released in 1954 [3] .

They are mentioned on the Memorial Plaque to the repressed leaders of the Leningrad Region, installed in the lobby of the Smolny Regional Exhibition Hall (Smolny St., 3) as a token of gratitude for the enormous contribution to the defense of Leningrad, the liberation from Nazi invaders and the post-war restoration of the Leningrad Region [10 ] .
