Vadim Viktorovich Kobylash ( rum. Vadim Cobîlaș ; born July 30, 1983, Soroki , Moldova ) is a Moldavian rugby player playing in the position of prop (pillar), since the summer of 2016 he has been playing for the French club Bordeaux-Begl [2] . The first Moldavian rugby player in the English Rugby Championship [3] .

Biography
Club career
He began his playing career in the Chisinau club "Blumarine" ("USEFS-Blumarine" - a team of the State University of Physical Education and Sports), with which he became a champion [4] . Then he moved to the Romanian Dynamo Bucharest , which also won the Romanian Super League in 2004. In 2005, he moved to the Russian club VVA-Moscow Region , in which he won the Russian Rugby Championship five times [4] .
In 2011, he switched to English “ Sale Sharks ” and became the first Moldavian rugby player in the English Rugby Championship . He got into the team on the recommendation of Steve Diamond, who had previously worked in Russia (he was an assistant to the head coach Nikolai Nerush in the national team , and then received the position of sports director at Sale Sharks ) and remembered Vadim for his performances in the championship [4] . In the season 2013/2014 he was recognized as the best player of the team [5] . He also got into the team of the year of the European Challenge Cup 2013 [6] .
For five consecutive years he was recognized as the best rugby player of Moldova (2007-2011) [7] , the last time he was awarded this title in 2014, thus being a six-time holder of this title [8] . Since 2016, he has been playing for Bordeaux-Begl , where he transferred to the place of the Argentinean Francisco Codela , who went to Lyon . The contract is concluded for three years [9] .

There is a younger brother Maxim Kobylash , also a rugby player. The players together played for VVA-Moscow Region [10] , Sale Sharks [11] and the national team.
