Young years

Born in a working class family. He graduated from a factory labor school in 1923. He worked at the factory named after the 3rd International in Karabanovo: laborer, foundry worker, dyeing machine operator. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1929.

In the Red Army since 1926, volunteer . He served in military service in the 2nd separate cavalry regiment of the Special Red Banner Far Eastern Army , a signalman. In connection with the death of his father and the difficult financial situation of the family since 1927, he was on long-term leave, worked in the same factory. At the same time he graduated from the rabfak , entered the evening department of the Moscow Institute of Architecture.

Since 1931 - again in the Red Army. He graduated from the Oryol Armored School of Red Commanders named after M.V. Frunze in 1932. He served as commander of a tank platoon in the 4th Infantry Division named after the German proletariat of the Kiev Military District . Since 1937 - commander of a tank company of a tank brigade.

He graduated from the Military Academy of the Red Army named after M.V. Frunze with honors in 1939. Since 1939 - Deputy Chief of Staff of the 4th Infantry Division on the rear in the Kiev Special Military District. He participated in the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939-1940 , where the division was transferred in full force and fought in the 13th Army of the North-Western Front. For distinctions in military operations he was awarded his first order. Since September 1940, he was the senior assistant to the head of the armored command department of the Transcaucasian Military District , then an officer for special assignments under the commander of the troops of this district.

World War II

At the beginning of World War II, in the same position, he participated in the operation to send Soviet troops to Iran (August 1941), a representative of the district headquarters in the advanced troops. Since December 1941, he was an officer for special assignments under the commander of the troops of the Transcaucasian , Caucasian and Crimean fronts, participated in the Kerch-Feodosia offensive operation and in the fighting on the Kerch Peninsula in the spring of 1942. Since June 1942 - Deputy Chief of the Operations Division of the 9th Reserve Army , on the basis of which in August 1942 the 24th Army was formed. As part of the Stalingrad and Don Fronts, the army participated in the defensive and offensive stages of the Battle of Stalingrad . For the differences in April 1943, the army was transformed into the 4th Guards Army .

As part of the 4th Guards Army, he fought before the Victory, first in the same position, from April 1944 - chief of the operational department of the army headquarters. As part of the army, he successfully performed his duties, participated in the Battle of Kursk , in the battle for the Dnieper , in the Iasi-Chisinau , Budapest , Balaton , and Vienna offensive operations. He was seriously injured in December 1943 when a car was blown up in a mine on the Dnieper bridgehead, returned to service in April 1944. In addition, at the beginning of 1942 he was shell-shocked in the Crimea .

In July 1945 he was appointed chief of staff of the 35th Army , which participated in the Manchu strategic offensive operation of the Soviet-Japanese War in August 1945.

Post-War Service

He served in the same position until February 1946 in the Primorsky Military District . Then sent to study.

He graduated from the Higher Military Academy named after K.E. Voroshilov in 1948. In this position, he made a great contribution to strengthening the military cooperation of the USSR with the armies of the Warsaw Pact countries and military cooperation with other foreign armies ( Mongolia , Cuba , Indonesia , Afghanistan , Iraq , Egypt , Libya , Syria , Somalia , Algeria , Sudan , Yemen and others ) He took part in the negotiations of N. S. Khrushchev and A. N. Kosygin with the delegations of Laos , India , Sudan , personally negotiated with Y. Tsedenbal , Fidel Castro , Raul Castro , G. Nasser , H. Asad , Sukarno , A.
