Firulev, Vladimir Mikhailovich

Vladimir Mikhailovich Firulev [1] (November 23, 1955, Izhevsk ) - Soviet biathlete , Soviet and Russian biathlon trainer. Bronze medalist of the USSR championship in the relay (1979). Master of Sports of the USSR international class [2] , Honored Coach of Russia .

Biography

Graduated from Izhevsk Industrial Technical School (1975) [3] . He played for the sports society " Zenith " and the city of Izhevsk .

In December 1976, he took the 12th place in the Izhevsk Rifle competition in the individual race and became the silver medalist in the relay race as part of the Udmurt Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic national team, and in the same season he became the 11th in the Olympia prize sprint. In February 1977 at the championship of the RSFSR became the champion in the relay as part of the Udmurtia team, was the fifth in the individual race and the eighth in the sprint [4] .

In the USSR Championship in 1979, he won bronze medals in the relay race as part of the national team of Zenit.

At the end of his career he switched to coaching. As of 2016, he is working as a coach of the Youth School "Izhstal" (Izhevsk) [5] . He was awarded the titles " Honored Trainer of Russia ", " Excellence in Physical Culture and Sports of the Russian Federation ", "Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Udmurt Republic", coach of the highest category. He was a personal trainer of the world championship medalist, European summer biathlon champion Lyubov Yermolaeva [6] , one of the world championship medalist Maxim Maximov coaches.
