Biography
She was born in 1903 in a peasant family in the village of Ozerichino (today - the Pukhovichi district of the Minsk region). Since 1944, she worked on the collective farm “10 years of the BSSR” of the Rudensky district (since 1953 - the collective farm “Kastrychnitsky”). Since 1953, she headed the Kok-Sagyz link.
In 1949, the Elena Yurkevich link collected from each hectare an average of 85.5 centners of Kok-Sagyz roots. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 27, 1950, she was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Hammer and Sickle Medal.
She was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Belarusian SSR (1951-1959).
In 1960 she retired. Died in 1986.
