Biography

She graduated from the acting department of the Lithuanian Academy of Music in 1994 . She played in the theater and acted in films.

In 2008, she became a member of the center-right National Revival Party . She was elected a member of the Lithuanian Seimas of the convocation of 2008-2012. in a multi-member constituency. Baukuta’s attempt to run for the next convocation of the Sejm (2012–2016) was unsuccessful: due to the presence of procedural violations during the nomination, the Lithuanian Central Election Commission banned Baukuta from participating in the elections; the legitimacy of this decision was subsequently confirmed by the court [1] .

Married (husband - Kestutis Rupulyavicius), four children.

In addition to her native Lithuanian, she also speaks Russian and English.

In January 2017, on the record of the Lithuanian version of the TV show “ Guess the melody ”, aired on the state channel LRT , Baukut, being one of the participants in the program, after correctly guessing the melody of the Lithuanian composer Simonas Donskovas, a Jew by nationality, raised one hand in a Nazi greeting , and she put the other to her upper lip and exclaimed: “Jew!” The presenter and the audience did not react to what happened.
