Biography
Haji Safar Ali-bey Allahverdi oglu Safarov was born in the village of (Karabakh; now in the Fizuli region of Azerbaijan). After graduating from the local Russian-Muslim school, he joined the tsarist army. He served in the protection of the king, in his own EIV convoy . He had a silver medal "For Service in the Own Convoy of the Sovereign Emperor Alexander Nikolayevich" for wearing on his neck.
Haji Safar Ali-bey Safarov promoted to the rank of cornet (st. 06.05.1843). In 1854 he received the rank of second lieutenant . On May 5, 1867 he was promoted to lieutenant , on May 31, 1880 - to the staff captains , in 1882 - to the captains .
He participated in the Crimean War . During his military activity he received the Order of St. Anne of the 3rd degree with a bow (1846), St. Vladimir of the 4th degree with a bow (1847)
December 27, 1883 was dismissed from service, for domestic reasons, with the rank of captain with the right to wear a uniform.
