History (album by Thomas Anders)

The album consists of re-recorded versions of 13 Modern Talking singles and two new songs “Lunatic” and “Take the Chance”. The arrangements were transformed into more electronic, energetic versions, but some songs (in particular, “Win ​​The Race”) remained fairly close to the originals; Thomas's vocals were completely recorded from scratch. For the sake of as close as possible to the originals, Thomas recruited backing vocalists who participated in the recording of the original versions of these songs ^[1] .

The idea of ​​creating the album was presented to Thomas by fans: they often asked him if they could buy him updated versions of Modern Talking songs that he performs at concerts, and Thomas decided to give them that chance ^[2] .

The single “Lunatic”, also released on a separate disc in conjunction with “ You're My Heart, You're My Soul ”, was warmly received by the audience because of its design, which completely duplicates the classical structure of Modern Talking songs (including the second chorsett). “Take the Chance” had previously (since 2013) been performed by Thomas at concerts, but was not released on audio carriers.

After the release, the album immediately took the first places in the Russian and German iTunes charts, but the opinions of the fans on the disc were divided.
