Tiled Tea

Chinese tiled tea

Tiled tea - black or green tea , pressed in the form of bricks . Some varieties of post - fermented teas , such as puerh , have this form, but the term “tiled tea” is usually used for low-quality teas made from waste products.

Production

Usually black tea is pressed from the crumbs that remain when sorting black tea .

For the manufacture of green tea leaves use the leaf remaining after the collection of varietal tea leaves (in autumn and spring when forming tea bushes ).

The raw materials undergo frying, twisting, fermentation and drying. Before pressing, the obtained semi-finished product is steamed in steaming chambers at a temperature of 95-100 ° C, and then pressed in molds on hydraulic presses, after which it is dried in drying chambers at a moisture content of not more than 11%.

Mongolian cuisine

In Mongolia , the Altai Territory , Tuva and other regions of Asia, lovers of green tea tea add milk , lard , salt and spices to the tea.
