In 1855, with the opening of a wooden church, Nezhnur received the status of a village [4] . In 1870-1877, instead of a wooden one, a five-domed stone church was built with the main altar in the name of St. Nicholas of Myra , and the side ones - in honor of the prophet Elijah and the holy martyr Blasius [6] .
With the advent of Soviet power, service in the church ceased in 1936, in 1940 the church was closed, and subsequently partially destroyed. The parish was revived in 1995, and in 1999, the first church service was celebrated here in the restored church [6] .
