Biography

He played for the sports society " Zenith " and the city of Izhevsk . At the republican competitions represented the enterprise "Izhplanet." Trainers: E. S. Yarunina, Z. G. Galeev, I. I. Tyuteev, in the team - V. N. Pshenitsyn .

In December 1972, became the bronze medalist of youth competitions " Izhevsk rifle " in the relay in the national team of the Udmurt Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . In 1973, he won silver in the individual race at the USSR Cup among juniors in Tsakhkadzor .

In 1973 he became the bronze medalist of the Junior World Championships in Lake Placid , in the 3x7.5 km relay along with his comrades in the USSR national team Valery Khansin and Alexander Bogdanov.

In April 1973, he won the silver medals of the RSFSR Adult Championship in the relay as part of the Udmurtia team. In 1975 he took the fourth place in the individual race at international competitions in Kavgolovo , 15 seconds behind the bronze medalist Nikolai Kruglov . In the same season, he won the individual race at international competitions in Romania, for this success he received the title of the Master of Sports of the USSR of international class . In 1975 and 1976 he became the second in the Izhevsk rifle in the relay [1] .

In 1976, he won the silver medals of the USSR championship in the relay as part of the national team of Zenit.

At the end of his sports career he switched to coaching. Works as a CSSSHR biathlon coach of the Udmurt Republic (Izhevsk). He was the first coach of world champion Alexey Kobelev [2] . He was awarded the title of Honored Coach of Russia , the coach of the highest qualification category.
