Pribugskaya plain - a plain in the west of the Brest and southwest of the Grodno regions of Belarus , enters the territory of Poland .
It borders on the Volkovysk Upland , the Suburbs , the Baranavichy Plain , and Brest Polesie . The length from the southwest to the northeast is almost 140 km., The width is 40–75 km., The area is 5.8 thousand km². The surface is plane wave. Altitudes of 175-200 m above sea level prevail.
It is divided into 2 subareas — the Naravsk-Yaseldinsky plain and the Kamenetsk plain.
The surface of the plain gradually decreases from north to south. The terminal moraines that mark the border of the Sozh glaciation stretch approximately along the Shereshevo - Pruzhany line (see the Belovezhskaya ridge ). In the area of the cities of Vysokoe and Kamenetz, there are terminal moraines represented by slopes and ridges up to 10 m high, separated by saddle-like depressions. The northern part is characterized by a relief of fluviogloss (glacial) plains, and valley zander is widespread south of the Sozh end moraines. Significant expanses of sandy plains have traces of processing by the wind. From the western border of Belarus (the village of Tikhovolya, Svislochsky region ), a wide (up to 10 km.) Runoff hollow (furrow depth of 3-5 m), which is composed of lacustrine lake-alluvial sediments, stretches east to the city of Birch .
A watershed between the rivers of the Baltic and Black Seas passes through the northern part of the plain. The largest river is the Western Bug with its tributaries Lesnaya and the Pulva River . The Belaya, Narev and Narevka rivers , the Yaselda river and the Vinets canal flow along the territory of the Pribug plain.
The forest cover is small (9.7%), with the exception of the northern outskirts, where most of the Bialowieza Forest is located . Preserved mainly pine forests. The southern border of the continuous distribution of spruce runs along the plain: the village of Bushmitsy - the city of Kamenets - the village of Rechitsa of the Kamenets district - the village of Scherchevo - the village of Gorodechno Pruzhany district . There are oak forests with an admixture of pine, spruce, and ash; derivatives of warty-birch forests are widespread.
The largest swamp areas: Wild swamp , Haravskoy swamp , Wild Nikor . Plowed up 50% of the territory in the south and 25% in the north.
On the territory of the plain are: National Park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" , the hydrological reserve Dikoe , Mihaylinsko-Beryozovsky biological reserve .
