Gameplay

The essence of the game

The main goal of the game is to build, grow, and develop a city from the Stone Age to the Space Age of Mars. For the construction of the city has a limited area, which expands gradually during the game. A player can fill a territory with various buildings, structures and decorations that can be built with the help of coins and resources that are collected from buildings of the same territory.

The player begins the game at the head of a small tribe and village. Over time, the player develops his territory, seizes territory and enlarges the territory of his city, turning it into an empire. The player begins the game in the Stone Age, and will soon pass into the Bronze Age, then into the Iron Age, into various stages of the Middle Ages, the colonial period, the industrial age, the era of progressivism, and so on until the virtual future, only 18 epochs. Moving into a new era, the player opens up new technologies in the research tree. As soon as the player and his empire pass into the next era, the city receives a new Town Hall (the main building in the game) instead of the old one, in accordance with its era. Sometimes when moving into a new era, a player gets several new buildings that they can build right away.

On the map of the continent, a player can expand his empire by capturing new lands and provinces. Provinces are captured in battles, or during negotiations, where the player gives certain materials to the ruler of the land in return for territory. Captured territories bring various bonuses, one-time or permanently.

Basically, a player plays in his city and on the map of the continent, but he can interact with his neighbors by bargaining to obtain the necessary resources and materials, visiting their cities and helping them, or attacking the city of another player, and in case of success robbing them. The help of other players will also be needed to build great buildings. Players can also join guilds (unions) to help each other. Guild players have weekly access to the Guild Expedition for various bonuses.

In the game, you can also conduct research to open new buildings and skills, as well as to move into the next era. For research, mainly strategic points are used, and for their discovery various types of currency, games and goods from the Iron Age on some studies, but on other epoch will be needed on most studies.

Map of the Continent

Map of Continents consists of different continents. Some of them are different epochs, but the player will also find access to the map of the continents of the Guilds, as well as access to their own city. It simulates an aggressive activity in which a player can carry out land expansion in several ways: with the help of an attacking army, or with the help of negotiations and the payment of a certain amount of resources.

Building Types

In the game there are several types of buildings that produce coins, resources, production materials and other things needed in the game.

  • Residential buildings - increase the free population, as well as produce coins.
  • Industrial buildings - bring a resource.
  • Industrial buildings - are engaged in the extraction of goods of different eras (if on the military map of the continent a deposit of a certain resource is discovered, you will receive a bonus to its production).
  • Public buildings and decor - increase the level of happiness of the population, thereby increasing the production of coins and resources.
  • Military buildings - allow you to hire different types of troops.
  • Roads - roads need to connect any buildings, except decorative, with the main building; they also give a small bonus to the happiness of the population.
  • Extensions - increasing the area for coins, diamonds and medals.
  • Great buildings - only those aircraft are shown in which you already have at least one drawing.

Buildings are grouped by epoch, that is, each building has an appearance in accordance with its epoch. For example, in the Stone Age, a residential building is a hut, in the Bronze Age it is a pile dwelling, in the early Middle Ages it is a house with a shingle roof, in the colonial era it is a house with arches and so on. It should be noted that in one era several buildings of the same type are presented to choose from, that is, there are three types of residential buildings, five types of industrial buildings, etc.

Great buildings

The game has the ability to build unique buildings - Great buildings. As a rule, these are known, existing or non-existing buildings and structures. A distinctive feature of the great buildings is that they cannot be plundered by other players who attacked your city and defeated your army. Their bonuses are very diverse and significantly affect the gameplay. There are more than 37 great buildings in the game, including the Tower of Babel , the Statue of Zeus , Hagia Sophia , the Lighthouse of Alexandria , the Colosseum , the Aachen Cathedral and others. To build a Great Building, you need to collect 9 drawings of this building, as well as the goods of a certain era, to which the building belongs. All great buildings can be improved in levels by investing strategic points. Higher levels increase the size of bonuses from the building. The first set of 9 drawings allows to improve the building to level 10, each level above 10 requires a new complete set of drawings.

Currencies in the game

The game has several currencies for the game: coins, resources, goods, medals, diamonds and Strategic Points (Forge Points). Currencies are acquired in various ways. Diamonds are the only currency in the game that is bought for real money.

  • Coins and resources are mined from residential and industrial buildings, as well as given in prizes for quests, expeditions, capturing provinces on the map of the continent, etc. Used for buildings, hiring troops, learning technologies.
  • Goods are in industrial buildings and some Great Buildings, as well as in prizes in the same way as coins and resources. Used to study technology, the passage of the expedition without a battle, in negotiations on the map of the continent, for the construction of great buildings. Each era includes 5 types of goods, for example, in the Iron Age it is Iron, Fabric, Limestone, in Bronze - Wood, Marble, etc.
  • Medals can be obtained for investing Strategic Points (SB) in the Great Buildings (AF) of other players, for winning places in the towers of the era, for some levels of the expedition. Used to expand the territory of the city, as well as for additional. attempts during the passage of the expedition.
  • Diamonds are a unique currency of FoE. It can be purchased for real money, received for completing missions, for some points of the expedition. And also a well of desires and a fountain of youth can produce them with some probability. You can use it almost everywhere - to speed up construction, to heal / resurrect warriors, to build aircraft, to learn technologies, etc., but primarily to expand the territory of the city.
  • Strategic Points (CO) is another unique currency of the game. It is added 1 per hour, but does not accumulate above 10. It can be purchased for diamonds and for coins. With each new purchase for coins, a unit of CO rises in price by 50. Also, CO brings some special buildings and great buildings. Used to improve the aircraft, as well as to study technology.
