Vladislav Mazurkevich ( Polish: Władysław Mazurkiewicz ; January 31, 1911 - January 29, 1957 ) - Polish serial killer from post-war Krakow, who also committed crimes in Warsaw.

Biography
Mazurkevich was accused by the prosecutor of six murders and at least two attempted murders. He was convicted of the murder of four men and two women, including Viktor Z., Vladislav B. and the millionaire Jerzy de L. together with his wife Jadwig de L. and her sister, Zofia S. Mazurkevich, was convicted by the district court in Krakow and sentenced to death on August 30, 1956. He was executed by hanging six months later, on January 29, 1957, two days before his 46th birthday. According to various rumors, Mazurkevich may have been responsible for as many as 30 murders that were never solved. However, he did not plead guilty and stated in court that he had been beaten and blackmailed during interrogations. [3]
The last words of Mazurkevich were: “Goodbye, gentlemen! Soon we will all meet there! ” [1]
For his high economic position and polite manners in Stalinist Poland, he received the nickname “Elegant killer” ( elegancki morderca ), also called “handsome Władek” ( piękny Władek ). [3]
