History
In 1731, at the expense of the monastery in Zinoviev, a wooden church was built in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. In 1813, instead of a wooden church in Zinoviev, a stone church was begun by construction; construction lasted 9 years, and the temple was consecrated in 1822. In 1843 the temple was expanded and since then its appearance has not changed, the internal decorations have been renewed more than once. There are three thrones in the church: in the cold - in honor of the Resurrection of Christ, in a warm meal - in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and St. Great Martyr Demetrius of Selun. In the village of Zinoviev since 1886 there was a zemstvo public school [2] .
At the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, the village was part of the Korovayevsky volost of the Pokrovsky district , and since 1924 - in the Kolchuginsky volost of the Alexander district .
Since 1929, the village was the center of the Zinovievsky village council as part of the Kolchuginsky district , and later until 2005, it was part of the Zavalinsky village council .
