Window prostitution ( niderl. Raamprostitutie , English. Window prostitution ) - a kind of prostitution in Europe .
This form of prostitution is widespread in the Netherlands and neighboring countries. A prostitute independently rents a room with a window facing the street, and a “workplace” for a certain period of time, most often for a day or part of them. Also independently, without intermediaries, attracts customers and negotiates with them about the services and price for them. From the windows you can judge the employment of a prostitute - if the window glows, but is closed, then the process is in progress. A blank window indicates empty space.
This type of prostitution arose with the tacit consent of the red light owners in Amsterdam [1] . Currently, about twenty percent of the country's prostitutes are engaged in such activities. The base price for window prostitution services is from 25 to 50 euros in 20 minutes .
Interestingly, in the Netherlands, “window prostitution” is used not only in ordinary buildings on city streets, but also on special floating equipment [2] .
This type of prostitution is not used in all cities. Among the countries and cities with this service:
Netherlands - Amsterdam , Haarlem , Groningen , Heerenveen , Eindhoven .
Belgium - Antwerp , Brussels , Ghent , Charleroi .
Germany - Aachen , Bochum , Dortmund , Dusseldorf , Hamburg .
