Pupils

Mikhail Koltunov formed his own teaching methodology, based on a clear definition of the main movement of the lesson of classical dance and its leitmotif construction, as well as development in all three main sections. At the same time, each lesson is filled not with multitude, but with a concrete element and its derivatives, the performance of which is honed. Particular attention in the technique is given to the development of jump elevation, the coordinated work of the arms, head and the wide development of small, technically complex movements.

Great importance is attached to the view of the dancer, which should be filled with meanings and image, as well as the development of musicality in students, which is the basis for creating an artistic image. It is necessary to begin compiling a case study with a pure form of movements and a slower pace of musical layout - from quarter to eighth. A new program element must be sounded in the case study at least twice, and before its execution it is necessary to pause so that the body and consciousness are tuned in to movement.
