History
Trinity Church in the farm Volchensky opened in 1892. The temple is built in the form of an unequal cross with a two-tier bell tower. In the same year, with the permission of the Synod, an independent parish was created for the church. The first service in the temple took place on the feast of the Trinity, so the temple was called Trinity. In 1894, the parish school began to work at the church, which became a seven-year school under Soviet rule.
Construction of the temple at the expense of the local population lasted about eight years. The first priest was Father Michael.
The church was closed in 1938. During the war years it was opened, in 1961 it was closed again. There was a granary in the temple.
In 2003, local Cossacks, under the leadership of the head of the settlement, N. S. Kudinov, officially registered the parish and began to restore the Holy Trinity Church. The local Orthodox religious organization Holy Trinity Parish farm Volchensky Kamensky district Rostov-on-Don diocese of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church was registered in 2006.
On September 3, 2008, crosses were installed on the domes of the temple, and in 2010, the bells were installed. On September 13, 2011, Father Pavel held a festive liturgy.
Now the temple is being restored [1] . It refers to the Rostov-on-Don diocese of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church.
