He was an honorary member of the Uleaborg Musical Society. In 1890, for concerts in St. Petersburg, he was awarded the Golden Lira sign from the Petersburg Musical Society; later received a diamond lira from the music society in Helsingfors .

Biography
Born on October 11, 1879 in Novocherkassk, Region Don Army. His father - Mikhail Firsovich was a great lover of music, passing this love to his son.
At the age of five, Konstantin began to study the violin. At the age of eight he performed his first concert, from the age of nine he conducted a symphony concert in Yekaterinodar . Before the revolution, he proved to be a virtuoso musician. In 1889 he gave the first concert tour of Kostya Dumchev in Russia ( Petersburg , Moscow , Kharkov , Kiev , Saratov and other cities), and then made a concert tour of the cities of Siberia. The tour ended with performances in China, Japan and America. April 24, 1893 Dumchev gave a concert to the royal family in Livadia . Konstantin Dumchev was personally acquainted with Tchaikovsky, who gave him in 1893 in Odessa a violin by the Italian master Santo Serafino. [one]
In the period from 1894 to 1900, the violinist did not tour. At this time, he studied music and general subjects at the St. Petersburg Conservatory , then at the violinist Cesar Thomson . In 1900, he decided to continue his education at the Moscow Conservatory in the class of I.V. Grzhimali . He graduated from the conservatory in 1902 with a gold medal and a name on the Hall of Fame.
Konstantin Dumchev proved himself as a composer. During his years at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, he studied harmony under the guidance of A.K. Lyadov. Dumchev is the author of about 50 works, including two concerts, two suites, three mazurkas, capriccios , variations on the theme of the song “Cossack went to the Danube”, two Spanish serenades, several nocturnes and a number of small violin works. After the October Revolution, Dumchev devoted himself to teaching and social activities in his hometown. During the days of World War II, he performed in hospitals.
He died on November 24, 1948 in Novocherkassk. He was buried in the City Cemetery . On the tombstone pedestal there is an inscription: “Violinist virtuoso Konstantin Mikhailovich Dumchev. 1879 11 / X - 1948 24 / XI " . [3]

- The name of Konstantin Dumchev is immortalized in Novocherkassk with a plaque on the house number 100 on the street. Decembrists, where he lived for many years until his death.
