Dubovsky, Stepan Fedorovich

Stepan Fedorovich Dubovsky ( 1931 , the village of Tesovo, Salihorsky district , Minsk region , Belorussian SSR - 2001 ) - head of the mechanized link for growing potatoes on the Chkalov collective farm in the Soligorsky district of the Minsk region, Belorussian SSR. Hero of Socialist Labor (1978).

Biography

Born in 1931 into a peasant family in the village of Tesovo. Before the war he graduated from two classes of elementary school. In 1948 he entered the tractor training courses at the Sturmovaya MTS, after which he worked on the ChTZ tractor in the brigade of his relative. Since 1960, he worked on the MTZ-50 tractor. Since 1961, he has been the head of a mechanized link for growing potatoes on the Chkalov collective farm in the Soligorsky district.

In 1965, the link of Stepan Dubovsky collected an average of 180 centners of potato per hectare, for which he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. During 1972-1974, the link annually exceeded the plan by 150%. The potato yield in these years reached 260 quintals of potato per hectare.

Repeatedly participated in the All-Union Exhibition of Exhibition of Economic Achievements in Moscow, where he received two gold medals.

In 1977, the Stepan Dubrovsky link collected an average of 280 centners of potato per hectare. Link profitability reached 332%. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 29, 1978, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Hammer and Sickle Medal.

He died in 2001.
