History

Sverdlovsk Thermal Power Plant was designed to supply thermal and electric energy to the Ural Heavy Engineering Plant under construction and a residential village under it. The construction of the Sverdlovsk TPP began in 1930. Steam was supplied for heating already in 1931 [1] , and in 1932 the first 5.1 MW turbogenerator was put into operation [2] . For the first stage, imported equipment adapted for burning peat was selected [1] .

In 1965, the transfer of boilers to the burning of natural gas began. In 1987, the power plant completely switched to gas [2] .

Until 1963, the station was part of Uralmashzavod, in whose territory it is located, then transferred to the balance of Sverdlovenergo REU [1] [2] . During the reform of RAO UES of Russia, the Sverdlovsk TPP became part of TGK-9 , later merged with Volzhskaya TGK OJSC. In 2015, the merged company was renamed into T Plus PJSC.

Description

The power system of the Sverdlovsk region operates as part of the combined power system of the Urals . The installed electric capacity of the Sverdlovsk CHPP at the beginning of 2015 is 36 MW or less than 1% of the total capacity of the region’s power plants [3] .

The CHP works in the mode of combined generation of electric and thermal energy, while the generation of electricity is determined by the heat schedule. It is one of the main sources of thermal energy for the district heating system of Yekaterinburg. The installed heat capacity of the station is 1430 Gcal / h [3] (including the selection of turbines - 242 Gcal / h [4] ).

The thermal scheme of the CHPP is cross-linked. The main equipment includes [4] [3] :

  • 8 energy (steam) boilers:
    • two NZL-800 at a pressure of 3.3 MPa;
    • one boiler TP-150 and TP-34 for a pressure of 3.5 MPa;
    • four BKZ-75-39GM boilers for a pressure of 3.9 MPa;
  • 3 counterpressure turbine units for low parameters of fresh steam:
    • PR-12-34 / 10/1;
    • PR-12-29 / 11 / 1,2;
    • PR-12-35 / 11 / 1,2;
  • 8 boilers :
    • 6 boilers PTVM-100;
    • 2 boilers KVGM-180.

Trunk natural gas is used as the main fuel, fuel oil is reserve fuel [3] . Water for technical needs comes from the city network [4] .
