Biography
Sayaka Kanda was born in Setagai , Tokyo . She is the daughter of Masaki Kanda and pop singer Seiko Matsuda . In 1999, during her studies at a Japanese school in Los Angeles , she first appeared in the short film “ Bean Cake ” ( English Bean Cake ) [1] , which in 2001 received the Golden Palm for the short film on the 54th Cannes Film Festival . Since her debut, she has been actively involved in both the cinema and the theater. In addition, Kanda was the author of some lyrics of her mother.
In December 2011, Kanda participated in the musical competition show " Kohaku Uta Gassen ", performing the song " Ue o Muite Arukou " together with Seiko Matsuda [2] . In 2012, Kanda debuted as a voice actress in the anime series Binbougami ga! that later influenced her election to the role of Anna in the Japanese dub of the cartoon " Cold Heart ". In 2015, for both of these roles - Nadeshiko Adenokoji and Anna - the singer won the award in the category “Best Actress in the lead role” at the ninth Seiyu Awards ceremony [3] .
In April 2014, Kanda, together with guitarist Billy, formed the duo TRUSTRICK. On June 25, they released their debut album, Eternity .
On April 26, 2017, Kanda announced that she would soon marry actor Mitsu Murat [4] .
