In 1974, at the world championship in Puerto Rico , he won a bronze medal with an average score of 20.2 points per game as part of the US national team , this record for players of the US team was broken only in 2010 by Kevin Durant . In 1975, he became the champion of the Pan American Games in competitions held in Mexico.
In 1975, speaking in the “junior season” of the Western Athletic Conference, he scored 28.7 points on average per game and set a conference sports record for the season, realizing 359 field shots. In the draft, he was selected by the Virginia Squires club from the ABA , which included the 1975/76 season , and left the club due to a conflict with the coach. In 1976-1978 he played for the NBA club “ New York Knicks ”. In the 1976/77 season , being mainly in the role of a backup player, he spent an average of 10 minutes on the floor and scored 5.7 points per game. Nevertheless, next season , the Knicks coach Willis Reed expressed disappointment at the basketball player’s lack of defensive play and sent him into a deep reserve for the remainder of the season after two starting games. Further Biography
Passed as a defendant in a bank robbery case in Hempstead ( Long Island ). He was convicted, but after two years of imprisonment, the conviction was canceled, as the investigators violated the procedural rules by entering his house without a warrant of arrest. He later pleaded guilty to getting stolen due to robbery of money.
Subsequently, he worked as a basketball coach in the youth volunteer organization YMCA .
