Named July 4, 2007 to preserve the name that previously existed in Sestroretsk, namely the name Matrossky Lane [1] . Such an alley existed from the 1960s to 1975 and ran from Transport Street in the direction of the Spillway . Its name was associated with a mass grave on the banks of the canal, in which the Baltic sailors were buried [2] .
Previously had a primer coating. In 2015–2016, Sailor Street received asphalt pavement and sidewalk [3] .
