Davis, Max

Max Davis ( born Macx Davies , December 24, 1992, Calgary ) is a Canadian biathlete . At the World Cup he made his debut in the 2013/2014 season at the stage in Oberhof, he became a permanent member of the main national team of Canada in the season 2015/2016. The best result in personal races in the framework of the World Cup - 10th place in the sprint at the stage in the Swedish Ostersund.

He started skiing at Canmore Sports Club. In 2005, he first took part in summer biathlon competitions and over the next six years he combined classes with β€œsmooth” skis and biathlon. Then he finally chose biathlon and was admitted to the Alberta Biathlon Training Center. Two years later, he became a member of the Canadian national team, made his way to the main team in 2016.

Two-time silver and bronze medalist of the youth championships of Canada. He represented Canada at three junior and junior world championships. The best result in the youth world championships is the 19th place in the sprint race of the 2011 championship, held in Czech Nove Mesto, in the junior championships - 8th place in the individual race of the 2013 championship, held in Obertilliach, Austria. Champion of Canada and North America in 2013 in the sprint, pursuit and race from the start.

He is fond of mountain hiking, tobogganing , downhill skiing , mountain biking , slackline , soccer , and also playing the piano.

Remotely trained at the University of Athabasca , works as a volunteer trainer at the Canmore ski club.
