Adverse weather conditions (it rained during the high jump) had an impact on the course of the competition. The best result was shown by the 19-year-old British Morgan Lake , who took a height of 1.89 m. Thanks to this success, she managed to rise in the overall standings from last place to third. The leader came the representative of the Netherlands Anuk Vetter , six points she lost Ukrainian Anna Kasyanova [2] [3] .

The only participant who ran faster than 24 seconds was Anuk Vetter - 23.89. With her main rivals in the dispute over the victory, Antoinette Nana Jim and Anna Kasyanova, she won about one second and immediately earned a serious margin in the overall standings. The advantage over the Frenchwoman, who was in second place, was 96 points [6] .

Anuk Vetter showed the second result among all the participants, while being ahead of her main competitors. After five views, her advantage over Antoinette Nana Jim reached 119 points. With a jump of 6.40 m, Nadine Brursen was able to climb from 9th to 4th place, but lost to Ivone Dadic , third, 100 points [8] [9] .

Sophia Ifantidou set a new highest achievement of the European Championships in javelin throwing among the sevens - 56.36 m. However, this throw did not affect the fight for medals, since the Greek was far from the top three. Anuk Vetter set a personal record of 55.76 m, again ahead of Jim and de facto secured a victory for one look before the end of the heptathlon: her advantage reached 198 points. Nadine Brursen reduced the gap from Ivona Dadic in the fight for bronze to 15 points [10] [11] .

The three leaders after running 800 meters remained unchanged. Nadine Brursen did not go to the start, because of which there was no intrigue in the dispute over the medals: the gaps between the other girls in the first five were quite large. Anuk Vetter, despite the worst result among all the participants, confidently won gold in seven types [12] .

Final position
Anuk Vetter from the Netherlands became the European champion with a new national record - 6626 points, a bronze medalist, Ivona Dadic , who set an Austria record, also noted a similar achievement. Antoinette Nana Jim the third consecutive championship was on the podium: after two victories in 2012 and 2014, she won a silver medal [13] .
