Symphonica is a concert album by British pop singer George Michael , released on March 14, 2014 via Aegean and Virgin EMI Records. ^[9] Symphonica is the first album after Twenty Five , which was released in 2006. Michael's vocals were recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in London during his Symphonica Tour (2011-12), while string arrangements were made in the studio ^[10] .

History

Work on the album was the last work of American music producer Phil Ramon , who died in March 2013 ^[11] and the last work for George Michael himself, who died in December 2016. The album debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, with 49.989 copies in its first week. In total, more than 500,000 copies were sold in the UK and the disc received BPI gold status
