Upper Silesian Star

The order was created in 1921. Unlike other unofficial awards that were created by the insurgent detachments (Cross For Upper Silesia, Silesian Plebiscite Cross, badge For Fighting for Silesia), the Upper Silesian Star was recognized at the state level with the right to wear a uniform: the sign was approved in 1925 by order of the Minister for Military Affairs with the wording "as evidence of recognition of merit in the struggle for the eternal rights of Pyastovskogo Silesia."

The chapter of the award was placed in Warsaw , then was moved to Katowice . Initially, he was headed by Maryan Voytkevich, after him Rudolf Kornke. In 1945, the Union of Veterans of the Silesian Uprising made several awards with Upper Silesian stars of slightly modified form.

The award is a silvered eight-pointed star with a gilded four-pointed star superimposed on it. There is a cross on the stars, covered with white and blue enamel. On the cross imposed silvered Silesian Eagle.

The Upper Silesian stars were made at a number of enterprises, including the Factory of metal haberdashery in Sosnowiec .

There were two versions of the reward: big and small. Together with the award was awarded a diploma and certificate.
