Biography
Eleanor Titkova was born March 9, 1937 in Kamen-on-Ob in the Altai Territory [1] in a family of art workers, known as the “Titkov’s clan”. Her father Ivan and uncle Vasily Titkov were artists, her mother served as the envoy of the Novosibirsk Opera House , her sister Rita was an actress of the Opera Theater choir, and her cousin Olga was an actress of the Novosibirsk Musical Comedy Theater . [2] In childhood, she studied simultaneously in four drama circles, including the House of Artistic Education of Children and the House of Art Workers; studied at a music school in piano. In 1959 she graduated from the Novosibirsk Music College, worked at a music school.
In 1970 she graduated from the faculty of directing the GITIS musical theater (workshop of Boris Pokrovsky ), in 1975 - graduate school.
After GITIS, she returned to Novosibirsk. In 1970-1982 and 1989-2015 she taught at the Novosibirsk State Conservatory , was a professor, head of the department of musical theater. In 1975-1976 she taught music directing at the Music Academy. L. Janaceka in the city of Brno ( Czechoslovakia ).
In 1982-1989 and 2002-2012, she was the main director of the Novosibirsk Theater of Musical Comedy .
She staged about a hundred performances.
She died on December 27, 2016 at the 80th year of life after a long illness [3] [4] .
