Automatically writing music - a technique for using algorithms to create musical works .
Algorithms (or at least formal rule sets) have long been used in composing music. For example, the construction of voice control in a counterpoint can often be specified by an algorithm. Nevertheless, the term “automatic music writing” is usually used for procedures for writing music without human intervention: by introducing randomness and using computers . The basis is often taken by cellular automata , Markov chains , fractals , as well as databases , for example, censuses, DNA code, and much more.
Sometimes automatically written music serves [1] as creative inspiration.
